The Barefoot Foundation
The Barefoot Foundation is a new charity – focused on eradicating poverty and abuse in the UK.
The Brief
As a not-for-profit business – the approach is refreshingly different – to generate wealth for the benefit of others as opposed to personal gain. Grassroots Ideas were asked to become involved at the ideas stage and act as an ‘IT function’ – proposing ideas and solutions that don’t come with a hefty price tag.
The Solution
Still in its embryonic stages – The Barefoot Foundation has some way to go before it is a fully functioning charity. At this stage – we are reviewing alternatives using open source solutions so that the charity can be assured that all funds that they generate are going straight to where they are needed most.
The Outcome
Our open source strategy ultimately means that we can propose impressive solutions – at a fraction of the cost!
